Charity Week

Charity Week 2023: March 6th-10th

Charity: Henry Ford Center for Living Donations
Goal: To raise $100,000 between Stoney Creek, Rochester, and Adams High School

All Week Long Events:

Raffle: Tickets will be on sale at lunches for $1
T-shirt Sales: At lunch students can purchase Charity Week T-Shirts for $15
Spirit Week: Student Council will be coming around to do dress counts at the start of 1st to their assigned classrooms. Each student dressed up will count as one Cougar Credit for their grade.
Flocking Friends: Students and teachers can pay $30 to “flock” a classroom. Student Council will then deliver a flock of 30 lawn flamingos to that teacher’s classroom. The teacher and their students will have to keep the flock until they raise another $30 to flock another teacher. Flamingos will reset at the start of every day, but teachers can turn in their $30 at any time during the hour to flock a different room.

Food Auctions: Student Council will be having a silent auction for food for an entire class on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday during 5th, 1st, and 6th hour, respectively. The food will not be disclosed ahead of time and instead will be announced after the food auction the day before. Classes will pool their money at the start of the hour and have one student bring it to the office. “Bids” will close 8 minutes after class starts. The class that donated the most money gets to go to the cafeteria to eat their prizes any time after the winner is announced that works with the teacher’s plans. No refunds.

Tuesday, March 7th:
Pancake Breakfast, 1st Hour: Students can pre-buy a wristband to be excused from the 1st hour on Tuesday to go to the cafeteria for pancakes. Wristbands will be sold during lunches. The cost is $8 for regular or chocolate chip pancakes. A limited amount of tickets will be sold.

Wednesday, March 8th:
Dodgeball Tournament and Tailgate, 6th Hour: Teams of 7 will face off in our annual Dodgeball tournament in the main gym during 6th hour. Students will sign-up their team using a form found in C262 for $8/person. In addition, students can purchase tickets to watch the dodgeball tournament, and enjoy our tailgate with ice-cream for $10. Tickets must be purchased during lunch, no tickets will be sold after 4th hour on Wednesday.

Thursday, March 9th:
Coin Stalls: Students bring in as much change as they can find! Teachers can decide what to have kids “stall” them from doing by making them count coins. In order for teachers to accept pennies, the class must pay a $5 fee. Roadblocks to slow the counting down will be sold during lunches and before school Thursday morning.
Tri-High Dodgeball Finals: The winners of our dodgeball tournament on Wednesday will go on to play at Adams High Schools at 7 pm.
Friday, March 10th:
Duck Race: Students and teachers can buy a rubber duck for $5 at lunch prior to Friday. We will live stream the race during 4th hour on Friday with our principals getting in the river to release the ducks. Watch to see if your duck wins! If they do, you will win a waterproof bluetooth speaker.

Saturday, March 11th:
Tri-High Charity Ball: The annual Tri-High Charity Ball is back. Similar to the Homecoming Dance the Charity Ball is the second dance of the school year in which all proceeds go to the Henry Ford Center for Living Donations. This is a combined dance with Stoney Creek, Rochester, and Adams High School. The dance will be from 7-10pm hosted at Rochester High School. Students can purchase dance tickets during all three lunches from Student Council in the cafeteria for $20. This year out of district guests are allowed with a physical guest form filled out from the main office. RCS students must purchase tickets at their homeschool. Ticket sales are limited to 450 tickets per school so get them before they sell out.
